Virtual Reality

http://nofilmschool.com/2015/09/virtual-reality-here-netflix-hulu-100-titles-from-fox

This article from no film school talks about the recent interest companies are having in virtual reality.

Fox, Netflix, and Hulu have all recently released that they are getting very serious about using Oculus Virtual Reality Headsets and Samsung Gear VR headset to transform movies. It is being called a "virtual reality cinema".

This new market of virtual reality is just starting to be explored. This market creates a new way to experience movies in a 3D.

All of these companies will be producing an individual app for the Oculus Headset. The amount of shows available on the app are still very limited because of how new this market is.

When the shows kick off they will not be available in HD, only standard definition.

Home Sweet Home

Home Sweet Home

The scope of this project was to create a video with all of the things we love about Olathe Northwest.

We first started by brainstorming ideas and the theme of our video. We story boarded and then went out to film people in different grades talk about their favorite things about ONW. We got lots of B roll shots of the school and the people in it.

While doing this I learned how to collaborate my ideas with the other people in my group. I also learned how to conduct an interview with people and get good sounds bytes from them.

This project was my first time using the 60D cameras so I had to learn how to use them and how to correctly focus and figure out what to focus on.

If i could do something different I would make sure the lighting is better before i shoot.

I would conduct the interviews the same because I got really good sound bytes.

I will use my new knowledge of different types of cameras in further projects.
